Our 2014 Walk to Defeat ALS was Saturday April 12!  We have almost met our goal of $75,000!  Click here to donate.

April is National Volunteer Month!

The Down East ALS Support Group (Greenville Area Resource Group) serves persons with ALS (Lou Gehrig’s disease), their families, and caregivers.  Our members come from Goldsboro, Rocky Mount, Gates County, Beaufort, Greenville, and all points in between.

Beginning in January 2014,  we will meet on the 3rd Wednesday of every month, 5:30 p.m. to 7:30 p.m., in the Vidant Rehabilitation Center Classroom (located behind the children’s hospital), 2100 Stantonsburg Road, Greenville NC.  Phyllis Hazel, MSS, is the facilitator of the group.   Membership is free and open to all.

We co-sponsor the annual Down East Walk to Defeat ALS in the spring.  We also provide a lending closet (e.g. lift chair, wheelchairs, walkers, etc.), courtesy of Stalls Medical Supplies.

Please contact Phyllis Hazel, MSS, at phazel@catfishchapter.org for more information. Phone: (877) 257-7491 x709;  Cell: (302) 388-4553
